The Updated Pride Flag - Inclusive Progress Pride Flag
Progress Pride Flag
The original pride flag has always consisted of 6 colors until graphic designer Daniel Quasar added a 5 coloured chevron to place greater emphasis on "inclusion and progression". With the addition, it was coined the term "Progress Pride Flag" or "Inclusive Pride Flag".
The flag includes black and brown stripes that represents the marginalized LGBT communities of colour, as well as the colours pink, light blue and white which are used on the Transgender Pride Flag.
Additionally, Quasar has also mentioned it is to represent those living with AIDS, and those no longer living.
